Why is IT so difficult
IT managers have so many problems to solve – technical outages, failing projects, staff turnover and budget issues to name just a few. The cost of mistakes can run into the millions. And yet, for all their investment in IT training, companies often overlook one area that can bring significant benefits – developing IT management and IT leadership skills. It is not a simple problem - generic leadership courses do not address the specific problems of IT. They won’t teach how to set up effective IT governance, how to create an IT strategy, run a data-center, or align IT with business priorities.
As former CIOs, we have dedicated ourselves to fixing the problem, helping technical specialists become effective managers, and IT managers become outstanding leaders. Our approach is holistic – delegates get to see the whole picture and fill in the gaps in their experience. All the way from the practical side of IT management to the high-level skills of senior leadership. Our reputation goes before us. We have run the program for over 20 years in over 20 countries. Over 2,000 delegates have joined our courses and given us an average feedback score of 90%, an exceptional score for soft skills courses.Â
Why IT managers Choose Our Programs

You can take our IT management or IT Leadership courses as a residential course in the UK, online or in-house.Â
Residential courses in the UK
Twice a year we run our flagship IT Management and IT Leadership courses at the magnificent Greenlands venue in Henley-on-Thames. Situated on the banks of the River Thames, this is one of the countries leading learning venues.
The course is run over five days, and most delegates choose to stay on-site at the Greenlands Hotel. The day is spent on short presentations, break-outs and case-studies. The presentations are typically no more than 45 minutes, but are very specific and rich in content. Additional references and reading are given. The amazing location gives a perfect opportunity for delegates to socialize and build life-long network contacts.Â
Delegates have access to the online program and IT leaders network after the course.
Remote coaching and online program
For many, it is difficult to get time away from the office. The IT Leaders Coaching and On-line program will let you study remotely. Typically scheduled over 6 months, delegates get 4 detailed coaching sessions supported with our updated online course. With over 20 hours of video, the new online course delivers content via short (typically 30 minute) videos, supported by practical case studies based on real IT management scenarios.
Delegates who sign up for the on-line courses can join the monthly webinars, providing an opportunity to share problems and solutions. They are also automatically enrolled into our IT Leaders network, a network of over 1,000 IT professionals, the majority of whom are former delegates. They also have direct access to the course director for additional one-on-one discussions.

We're glad to make your acquaintance
We know from experience how difficult it is to find like-minded IT professionals who you can confide in. Most of the contacts we came across told us how brilliant everything was. What we really needed was someone who would give us clear unbiased answers.Â
At IT Leaders, our delegates become like a work family where you can ask questions in confidence. We hope that you will take the first step to introduce yourself using the form opposite and provide a brief outline of how we can help.Â
