What you will learn
Our IT management course has been developed over 10 years, and regularly updated to keep track of changes in management thinking and client experience. It is not a technical course. Instead, you will learn how businesses develop IT strategy, how to develop your own IT or technology strategy, understand what makes successful project managers, ideas to improve your operational efficiency, guidelines for crisis management and how to hone your commercial skills.
IT Management Course Topics
This course focuses on key IT management skills throughout the IT lifecycle, from IT strategy, through project delivery and on to IT operations. It draws on the experience of the presenters, and over 2,000 delegates. It identifies key principles, explains IT management frameworks, discusses IT best practice and develops soft skills.

This module looks at how businesses develop strategy and how to create IT strategy that aligns with top level goals as well as individual department priorities. Finally, it looks at how to optimize and communicate it.

Here we look at some of the key soft skills for IT managers. How to provide feedback, how to control and run important meetings, how to handle difficult situations and presenting technology to senior audiences.

You can take our IT management or IT Leadership courses as a residential course in the UK, online or in-house.
Residential courses in the UK
Twice a year we run our flagship IT Management and IT Leadership courses at the magnificent Greenlands venue in Henley-on-Thames. Situated on the banks of the River Thames, this is one of the countries leading learning venues.
The course is run over five days, and most delegates choose to stay on-site at the Greenlands Hotel. The day is spent on short presentations, break-outs and case-studies. The presentations are typically no more than 45 minutes, but are very specific and rich in content. Additional references and reading are given. The amazing location gives a perfect opportunity for delegates to socialize and build life-long network contacts.
Our new online courses
IT Leaders have designed on-line versions of our residential IT Leadership and IT Management programs. Now in its second iteration, and running on a new Learning Platform, the course delivers content via short (typically 30 minute) videos, supported by practical case studies based on real IT management scenarios.
Delegates who sign up for the on-line courses can join the bi-weekly webinars, providing an opportunity to share problems and solutions. They are also automatically enrolled into our IT Leaders network, a network of over 1,000 IT professionals, the majority of whom are former delegates. They also have direct access to the course director for one-on-one discussions.

We're pleased to make your acquaintance
We know from experience how difficult it is to find like-minded IT professionals who you can confide in. Most of the contacts we came across told us how brilliant everything was. What we really needed was someone who would give us clear unbiased answers.
At IT Leaders, our delegates become like a work family where you can ask questions in confidence. We hope that you will take the first step to introduce yourself using the form opposite and provide a brief outline of how we can help.
