Outline of the week

Twice a year we run our flagship IT Management and IT Leadership courses at the Greenlands venue in Henley-on-Thames, formerly the country mansion of W.H. Smith. Situated on the banks of the River Thames, this is one of the countries leading learning venues.

The course is run over five days, and most delegates choose to stay on-site at the Greenlands Hotel. Courses start at 9 a.m., a leisurely start for most IT professionals, giving them time to check in with their offices beforehand if they need to. We take a full hour for lunch, again, giving delegates the opportunity to catch up on important issues.

That leaves us the rest of the day to focus on the presentations, break-outs and case-studies. The presentations are typically no more than 45 minutes, but are very specific and rich in content. Additional references and reading are given.  The case studies and break-outs are all unique to the types of problem and situations specific to the world of IT. No two courses have ever been the same as we constantly look to keep the courses up-to-date and relevant.

We do not work in the evenings, giving delegates time to share their own experiences and build long-standing relationships. We have drinks in the bar on Monday, and a course dinner usually on Wednesday at a local restaurant. The forging of these relationships is one of the key benefits delegates say they gain from the course.

All delegates become members of the IT Leaders private network. They have access to electronic versions of the course materials and also to the on-line course.

We also run off-site courses for clients at this venue. In-house courses can also be run at the client locations. We have run courses for clients internationally in over 30 locations, from the USA to Singapore, from the UK to Angola.
